this past monday i started back work at what i call my daytime job. i am a teacher here in the great state of texas. unfortunately, over the weekend i got a really bad toothache. severe pain. on monday i only survived half the day before i had to leave and go to the dentist. they put me on antibiotics and some hydrocodone-ib and it is strong. on monday night it had me in uncontrollable shakes. i didn’t make it to work on tuesday morning, i arrived around noon. so i’ve already lost one of my only five personal days that i have each school year. i have to go back to the dentist soon to get some major work done. so not happy about this. never skip dentist appointments. it’s just not good. i hadn’t been at my computer for two days i was in so much pain and then so drugged up. thank God for recovery. not 100% but so much better!
tomorrow night is meet the teacher night for pre-k and kindergarten. this will be my first year teaching kindergarden and my only major concern is the parents. dealing with helicopter moms and overbearing dads. i just pray i have a cool set of parents this year! my teacher aid has really been helping me with my classroom decorations. a true blessing. i like decorating the room but it’s not one of my favorite things about teaching. i’ve spent so much money this year on decorations. i’ve shopped a lot at dollar tree but things can add up quickly even there.
