HAPPY AUGUST!
i have looked at the the course catalog for the local community colleges for this fall. i am interested in spanish, guitar, yoga, and real estate classes. needless to say, i am all over the place. for over a year i’ve been wanting to get my real estate license. i only need to take 3 more classes in order to become qualified to sit for the state exam. what goes down must come up so the housing market is going to eventually rebound. last fall i talked about taking continuing education classes but i didn’t.
a couple weeks back i had to sell my electric guitar and that sort of made me sad. i still have my little acoustic. i am really broke. i haven’t worked all summer so i’m about to start counting pennies. even if i don’t get a teaching job for this year i am still in the system to sub for the dallas isd, and school starts back on the 25th! oh yeah.
it totally sucks that the dallas isd budget is so screwed up that they are in a hiring freeze. even though they are only hiring internally vacancies are till posted where anyone can see them. there is a 1st grade position open at a school that is in walking distance from my house that i would love to have.
anyway, it’s already august. craziness.
