everything you read online isn’t true

the other week i was riding in the car with my 5 year old nephew, dorian, and we had to stop for a train. while waiting for the train to pass he says, “i love seeing the train carts pass by.” i tell him that i believe they are called train cars and not train carts. but he is sure he is right, so i tell him that i will look it up online just to make sure. it’s like, if you look something up online that settles it. i find a post called Is it called train cars or carts? on answers.com, it’s one of the first results that come up in my search. there is a two word answer someone posted simply saying “train carts” and that’s it. i am not convinced. so i continue through my search results and end up at the mother of knowledge, wikipedia.com, and i find an entry called railroad car and it serves as confirmation that i was right. but to be sure, i type in “railroad cart” at wikipedia.com and Did you mean: railroad cars comes up. i know wikipedia isn’t perfect, but i trust the source. this whole situation bothers me. i am worried for generations to come. in the future there will be so much misinformation on the internet that it will be ridiculous!
