so i spent the past couple days working on my smugmug site at gloriamarie.smugmug.com and i’ve come to realize that one of the reasons why i get a headahce when i deal with smugmug is because the site gives me a slight case of amnesia. for example, a few months back i had luvfoto.com pointed to my smugmug site but then i changed the dns to wordpress, but now that i’ve spent time working on my smugmug site i thought i would connect my domain (luvfoto.com) to my smugmug site again…but i couldn’t remember how! after going through the help section i figured it out…again. but yeah, i stumble through smugmug.com like a little old lady with amnesia. trying to remember my next step.
i am thinking about learning how to make an igoogle gadget. my problem is that i think i can do anything. haha. i’ll investigate it some this upcoming week.
things are still a disaster at a million different things after updating to wordpress 2.8. but it will be all good at the end, it has made me reconsider how i operate my blogs. what i really need to do in order to build up a blogging network, which is my goal. but in the past 30 days the site got 1,000 unique visitors. i had to completely reinstall wordpress. there is no content right now on the site, having issues with importing the db. blah. grr. eh. and all the other frustrating sounds.
getting this site back up was my weekend project and it is sunday afternoon and i’ve made little progress.
but yeah, i’m excited about possibly making an igoogle gadget!

watched the end part of serendipity and this was quoted.
oh, if only things worked out how they do in the movies.
that i am having with windows vista unzipping, an error message saying “there is already a file with the same name…” yet to try out the solution posted.
on to try to find a new unzipping program.
the official gavin degraw account on myspace.com notified people through a blog that
http://www.twitter.com/gavindegraw was not the real gavin degraw (the musician). i wasn’t following the account, but i think it is all a bit amusing. apparently the “impostor” shares the artist same name and had over 15,000 people following him, in defense he said:I am using my own name. Sometimes people have the same name, happens when there are billions of people on the planet. haha. someone in reply to the blog said: I was wondering how you could be tweeting at the same time I was watching you sing “Indian Summer” in Nashville last night! Looking forward to the REAL account! another reply said: It’s about time someone found the guy out! He was easy to catch, especially last night when he was twittering at the same time Gavin was onstage in Nashville, TN. Kinda hard to be in two places at once!!!
my desk is messy with papers, clippings, quotes, sticky notes of random bits and pieces. for example, song lyrics, names of artist, business ideas, etc. been thinking about converting to note cards and eliminate sticky notes and bits of pieces of papers.
the professor of my last real estate class said that he recently burned hundreds of note cards that he had created when he was a real estate agent. he acted as if it was a really tall stack that he had.
digitally i have been using window notepads, i have tons of them with ideas, my lyrics, and stuff i’ve found interesting. however, i just have them all in a folder, they are not really organized. but recently i’ve started to use google notebooks. you can create notebooks, and then entries within the notebooks. there is an awesome iphone app called gnotes that links to your online notes and it’s awesome. i can create on the go and access them on my computer at any time, my notes are synced.
note cards are archaic but i’m going to give them a try, i like writing stuff down. soon pen and paper will be a lost form.
i clip stuff from the newspaper as well sometimes so i need to figure out a system for my newspaper clippings.
i sound like a crazy person.
my igoogle page sometimes won’t load, it started on friday. i am gettnig the following error message…
