this past weekend i had the pleasure of doing an engagement session for nikki & brandon. the bride to be knows my sister from school, but my sister and i end up sharing a lot of our friends. my friends become her friends and her friends become mine. we have 75 mutual friends on facebook!
nikki is going to school for nursing and it is finals season so she was busy and brandon’s work schedule isn’t known until the week before and so we went back and forth on facebook for a moment trying to secure a date. last wednesday she messaged me and said they were both available on saturday morning, and i was available so it was game on!
i used the harbor district once again. brandon lives like 2 minutes from the shoot location, but on the way nikki called to let me know that somehow brandon missed the exit, but then she was like, “if he had listened to me we would had been there by now.” i knew at that moment that the morning was going to be awesome. lol. while shooting brandon made a comment of how you can’t take life too serious. so right! they are so laid back and easy going. LOVE them.

brandon proposed using index cards so i knew i had to work some index cards into the shoot. brandon wrote the letters love on the cards.

towards the end of the shoot they tell me that brandon brought his guitar! he is a musician. i love working personal things into sessions. and of course i share my sad story about my sad attempt at being a guitar player!

as you can see from nikki’s hair we battled strong winds on this shoot! but they were troopers.
they plan to wed next st. patrick’s day. congratulations to them both!
if you are on facebook (and who isn’t?) i would love for you to connect with me! like me at facebook.com/gloriamariephotography.
and maybe you will also connect with my sister! ;)
